Laura grew up in Bakersfield, CA. She attended UC Irvine and received a BS in Biology and a BA in psychology. She received her Master's degree from Cal State Fullerton in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling (1992). She has been a licensed therapist since 1995. Her professional experience includes over 15 years experience working with children, adolescents and families in crisis addressing abuse issues, domestic violence and dual diagnosis issues. Laura has been working in a private practice for over 10 years. Her work tends to be brief and problem focused utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy. She works with individuals, couples, and families. As a therapist Laura tends to be a little more direct and a little more confrontive then some of her peers. The underlying theme within Laura's therapeutic style would be encouraging others to strive for excellence and achieve their fullest potential. Laura is married and has two children. She is also an officer for an international charitable organization.
